Tis The Season..

Something I have noticed lately among my age group of peers is that Tis the Season to get engaged.  I feel like every day every week I'm somehow being notified of yet another engagement among 23-26 year olds that I'm friends with. I just got on Facebook tonight and saw that one of my friends from high school got engaged - it's crazy!  There must be something in the water!  That, or we're at that "age" now where this is normal and happening all the time!  It's such an exciting time as an already engaged person to know what that means and to know what's in store for the newly engaged couple!  It's funny because when I got engaged, I felt like I/we was so unique in my new endeavors as a newly engaged woman and that the journey Jeffrey and I were embarking on was such a big deal and unlike any other.  Don't get me wrong, I know marriage and engagements ARE a very big deal but you forget how "normal" it is.  Most people get married at least once in their lives and although people have different experiences during their engagement and marriage, it's definitely a common thing.  Jeff and I are not the only ones to be in this position and to be experiencing what we're experiencing, and as special as it is to US and as loved as we have felt by so many throughout this process, we aren't any more special than the next engaged couple.  Especially when they are ALL around you!  It's humbling to be reminded of that. :)
