I've Been Blessed By Skype.

So, I had the most blessed and adorable experience with my nephew last week.

The hardest thing about being in San Diego is being away from my family...but most particularly, William! Since he is only 1, I was so concerned he would forget his "Nana" and not remember me and our sweet connection once I moved away. Well thank goodness for "Lo", my sweet sister in law, because she's been so great about texting and calling me whenever William talks about me. There have even been a few times when they were driving on the freeway, and he saw a car that looked like mine and would point and say "Nana!". That melted my heart the most, because he's barely seen my car! (Although, there was 1 day where I put him in the driver's seat....don't worry, the car was not on and we were not driving....and he had so much fun turning the wheel and play driving). As a good diversion to my rabbit trail, here are 2 of the pictures I took of him in my car:

Anyways, Lauren was so excited when she got a new Mac Desktop that came with a webcam because then we could Skype! Lauren and I set up a date to Skype with the 3 of us (Lauren, me, William) for the first time. It was such a special and sweet time and it left me encouraged after our 20 minute Skype when I saw how excited William was to see me and when I realized after hanging up that he still remembered me and we still had our little "connection" even if I wasn't able to be present with him as much!

Below is a short video that Lauren filmed of William and I when we were Skyping. He was eating his snack while we were Skyping, and he ended up feeding me some! In order for Lauren to be able to email it to me, she had to cut out a lot of the video, so this is really short, but still very enjoyable! Something to know is that he found it SO funny and SO cute and he was laughing and giggling SO much! But it doesn't show that on this video!
