Pray For Kate.

i cannot help but to cry and to wonder "why God? it's not fair. she's too young!" every time i see kate's story. it's one that must be shared and passed along. this little girl is a warrior, and her family has gotten stretched beyond belief. yet, here they are, still wholeheartedly in pursuit after God. what a wonderful reminder, in the midst of such pain and misery.

sweet kate, i cannot even fathom what it is you have been through. but my heart aches and hurts for you. when your mom wrote this on the caringbridge website, tears were streaming down my face. you are indeed a champion, just like your mom says.

"Kate continues to champion doing the radiation awake. Most days she comes out smiliing, proud she once again did not move during the treatments. The other day she had to get xrays while in the mask in addition to the actual treatment, which extended the time some. No one can be in the room as it is sealed off with thick, inpenatrable walls. (which always tends to make me a little sick knowing no one can even remain in the room while she gets her treatment). When I went back to get her after it was finished, they said they could hear her on the video camera wimpering. The extra few minutes seemed to take their toll. And yet, she still didn't move a muscle, just quietly cried to herself until it was done. The public bathroom was once again a place for my private tears."

you may not know much of what this means now, but as you get older im sure it will make more sense. but your life, your experiences, as terrible as they are, have been such a testament to you and your families' love and devotion to God. anyone that has heard of you and your story has witnessed it and been inspired by you. here you are, 16 years younger than i, and yet you are 100 times stronger than i could ever be. keep fighting the good fight kate, God has a plan for you.
